Colour fastness & UV protection

All shade products offer protection from the sun, but not all products offer protection from harmful UV rays. The fabrics in the Platinum collection are specially selected and offer up to 98% UV protection.

The sun not only affects the skin but also the colour of the fabric. You've probably seen it before, those faded purple fabrics. It's something nobody wants.

The extent to which the fabric discolours when permanently exposed to the sun depends on its quality. Platinum offers several classes of fabrics, including fabric class 4 premium Spuncrylic, where discouloration of the fabric is minimal.

These solution dyed frabrics have a coloured inner fibre and thus remain aesthetically pleasing for a long time. Products that are not solution-dyed have a white inner core
which becomes visible over time, creating colour differences.
