Platinum parasols are sold via a dealer network. Platinum does not sell directly to consumers. For The Netherlands and Belgium you can find you dealer via the webpage stores.

All shade products offer protection from the sun, but not all products offer protection from harmful UV rays. The fabrics in the Platinum collection are specially selected and offer up to 98% UV protection.

The sun not only affects the skin but also the colour of the fabric. You've probably seen it before, those faded purple fabrics. It's something nobody wants. More information.

The fabrics used have a high density and are therefore water-repellent. Class 4 fabric provides the best protection. Due to the tilt angle of the canopy, water flows away easily. No fabric offers 100% guaranteed waterproofing.

If your canopy faded over time or has a defect over time, the canopy can be replaced. You can replace the canopy yourself. Inquire at the store where you purchased the parasol about the options available.

• Dry wet or damp parasol canopies in the open position. If a damp canopy is closed, open it as soon as possible to dry.
• Remove fallen leaves and insect droppings as soon as possible.
• Dirt is best brushed out dry with a soft brush.
• Stains can be removed with lukewarm water, a soft brush, and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water afterward. If desired, the canopy can be sprayed with a protective coating afterward. 
• Avoid using aggressive detergents.
• Pay attention when opening, closing, and rotating the parasol to ensure that the canopy does not come into contact with walls, etc., and that it does not become tangled between the parts.
• Wipe any streaks on the aluminum profiles with a damp cloth.
• When closing the parasol, ensure each fabric panel is folded outward away from the frame parts.
• Roll the fabric panels over each other and secure with the strap to the mast.
• When not in use, always use a protective cover to prevent unnecessary weather-related wear, tear and colour fading.

This depends on the extent of damage to the Platinum parasol, but of course, we always consider the options. Please consult your dealer for advice on whether the repair is covered by warranty and for an estimate of the costs.

• Whenever there is upcoming wind or wind gusts, close your parasol. The cover should not flutter in the wind.
• Parasols should not be left open unattended. Any damage is not covered under warranty.
• Ensure that there are no persons or objects within the range when operating the parasol. It may result in injury or property damage.
• The anchorage must be adapted to the respective parasol size and location where you will use it. The best stability is obtained by permanent anchoring.
• Parasols should only be used as sun protection. The wind resistance of the open sunshade is limited.
